Not during COVID-19. Not during blizzards. Not one day in 25 years of carrying New York's most vulnerable patients to life-sustaining care — and safely home again.

Get In Touch →Front desk, social workers, administrators — we work with your whole team. Easy to assign, with documented sign-off at every step. Partner With Us →Ambu-Trans Ambulette (NXK Corp.) has served New York City's dialysis patients and medical facilities since 2001. We provide door-through-door ambulette service with trained drivers, real-time GPS tracking, and direct access to senior leadership — no call centers, no hold times.
For patients, we are a lifeline. For facilities, we are an extension of the care team. We are not a logistics company that handles medical transport — we are a medical transport company, and dialysis is our core mission.
Learn About Our Services
"Transportation isn't just a detail — it's a core part of dialysis care. When rides are late or unreliable, it directly harms patients' health and puts tremendous pressure on clinic staff."— Na'amah Razon, UC Davis Health · Journal of Nephrology Social Work, 2026. Hemodialysis patients typically travel to a clinic three times a week, making reliable transportation essential.
Post-dialysis patients are fatigued, often experiencing blood pressure swings and elevated fall risk. They require far more than a car ride.
Whether you're a patient, a family member, or a facility partner — here is what you can expect from us, every single day.
Neal Kalish (President) and Aline Antonio (Admin Manager) are personally reachable. No call centers, no hold queues. Real people, real responses — always.
Powered by Samsara — live vehicle location, ETA, in-vehicle video, and driver behavior monitoring on every route, every day. Collision alerts. Seatbelt compliance. Full fleet visibility.
Facility-specific on-time performance data, independently verified by MAS (Medical Answering Services) — not self-reported numbers. Transparent, third-party verified.
Zero negative OMIG audit findings across a 100-patient sample. One of a very small number of NYC NEMT providers on OMIG's Positive Audits tab — verifiable at omig.ny.gov.
4 full-time mechanics. Our own NYS DOT-certified facility. Multi-hundred point inspections twice annually, plus monthly inspections. No third-party dependency. No gaps.
A direct group channel with your facility team for real-time updates, scheduling changes, and proactive alerts — before you have to call us.
We don't wait for an incident to learn how a driver is performing. Samsara's AI reviews every route in real time — scoring driving behavior, catching risk before it becomes a problem, and turning raw road data into an objective safety record for all 49 of our drivers.
Samsara's AI assigns every driver an objective safety score from continuous video and telematics — speeding, harsh braking, tailgating, distraction, and seatbelt use, evaluated on every single trip.
Real-time, in-cab alerts correct unsafe behavior the moment it happens — before it ever reaches a patient. Forward-collision and rollover warnings run on every vehicle, every route.
No guesswork. Every event is captured on dual-facing AI dash cam and time-stamped, so coaching is grounded in data — and incident footage is available to facilities on request.
Throughout the height of the pandemic, Ambu-Trans continued operating without interruption — transporting Medicaid recipients door-through-door at significant personal risk. Their team transported patients to dialysis centers, hospitals, and other essential medical appointments. These patients were medically fragile, and many were COVID-positive. Ambu-Trans drivers stepped up where others stepped back.
I can state without hesitation that many of our patients — essentially all Medicaid recipients — would not have been able to maintain their lives had Ambu-Trans not provided their transportation services. Many other transportation companies refused to transport our dialysis patients because of fears of the unknown. Ambu-Trans agreed — and stepped up where others stepped back.
"Dialysis patients deserve reliable, respectful and safe transportation every time they go for treatment. Missed or shortened treatments caused by transportation failures lead to serious health consequences — and may even affect patients' eligibility for kidney transplants."— Bethney Bonilla-Herrera, Clinical Research Analyst, UC Davis Center for Healthcare Policy and Research · Journal of Nephrology Social Work, 2026
